Would it be smart to upgrade from a X1950pro 256MB to a 8800GT for ~€80 right now? I don't want a major upgrade, it's doubtfull I'll do that in the near future, I just want something that can handle future games on medium atleast. My old GPU is two years old, a replacement is near.
Will a 380W, A-brand PSU be able to handle the 8800GT? The requirements for GPU's are crazy these days (500W min). The 8800GT will cooperate with a E8500.

yep, those are the mainstream ATI cards which show great promise. I second that choice...

I just dismissed that card assuming it would be a deformed HD48xx, guess I was wrong (and I've been fixated on the 8800GT for a while now). I stopped following the HW scene a year ago so I lost my anticipating abilities. How will this card perform with future games? With 'future' I mean the coming year (Fallout, Farcry etc). I know it's impossible to know, but give me an educated guess. For €75 this card seems to give superb performance.
The next step up seems to be the 9600GT, but that goes for €110 which is above my budget. I'm working on a used 8800GT 512MB for €85. Which card would be the better choice if the price difference would be just €10? I can't find a good comparison between the HD4670 and the 8800GT anywhere.

Edit: I've read some reviews and looked at some charts, the 8800GT seems the best IF I can get it just for €85. And that is a big if. I hate making decisions when buying hardware, there's just too much and the differences are mostly minimal.
So to conclude, 8800GT if I can get it for €85 or the HD4670 if the 8800GT deal fails. Is this the best conclusion? Or is there some other card that can contend Crying or Very sad

PS. the 8800GT is a Sparkle btw, not the best brand. Does that make a big difference?
