Really odd that you mention that game - I read an article earlier today about that game where they mentioned how odd it is that no sequel appeared even though it had great reviews.

This game has been in developement for a looong time. First screens came out around RomeTW release, it better be good and bug free...
edit
Em... I was at their forums and it doesen't look good. MP is ip to ip only, they plan to make a lobby. Campaign is just a bunch of battles and some people have problems with performance. On the other, hand battle engine is quite powerfull and if they do make a lobby I may even buy this one.

Great reviews? Where?
All reviews I remember said it was a nice gimmick, but dull and repetitive, and had an avg of 7.

Not much to see here. It's an MTW2 clone without a campaign and nothing but strung together battles to pass as some semblance of a single player game. No comment on the multiplayer. Your better off running through MTW2 if you feel the urge.

Ok, so we played some mp games and throught hamachi it works quite well. There is even no need to write IPs. Lobby just some time doesen't detect the game but simple rehost fixes that. Anyway, battles are quite fun and imo play at least as good as in m2tw. Everything is slower and more realistic,
arrows are more powerfull from close range
cavalry into pike wall = a lot of free horse meat
sworsmen into pike wall = a lot of free toothpicks
run your army all the time = useless pricks that cant hold their swords
Also some units like knights are very impatient so they can attack from free will. That was also in first mtw but here its much more evident. Also it's quite important to look at morale and fatigue of the soldiers.
Whole game plays much like mentioned original mtw and shogun and those both games had much more realistic engine compared to rome-m2tw that are both quite arcadish.
