hey, i dont really now where is the best place to post this topic so i decided to post here. i am thinking in buying a xbox 360 but latly i v seen alot of problems with the famous 3rod now i am really afraid of doing it.. since i plan to mod it it will void warranty and wont have any support.. and since i dont know verywell if the falcon stands good against problems like 3rod i decided to ask for help from you guys to tell me if a falcon is somehow safer than older versions or should i wait for the jasper ? thnks in advance

Its safer (unless its not got a BenQ drive) but I would wait for the jasper. I like bum.

Well its kind a dilemma right now since you probably will end up with a lite-on drive with the newer motherboard types, which means it cant be flashed. "Why don't you zip it, Zipfero?" - fraich3

With the un-cracked lite-ons in almost all xbox360's now, buying with the intention to mod is gone. Hopefully the situation will change ih the future.

You are pretty much fucked if you wanna buy X360 now for flashing. Nearly all consoles made after this March include LiteOn drive. BTW flashing drive doesn't void warranty, but when you send your console for repair MS almost always replaces drive with LiteOn, even if the previous drive was fine. Well what do ya know, just seen that a lite-on 'key' reader has been released. You still can't flash the lite-ons, but you flash a replacement drive now you can get the key

thnks for the answers.. i have another small question since i didnt want to create a new topic with it i will just post here.. i bet it will be really easy for you guys! for example when a xenon gets rod it will come a opus now.. and what we get when it is a zephyr? another zephyr or a falcon?
