first of all GET REAL, if there are intelligent life forms elsewhere which there might be, the universe is a vast place and as earth evolved there must be billions if not trillions of other planets like earth around but here's the thing : THEY'RE TOO FUCKING FAR AWAY! space travel is the hardest challenge a human can ever endure , and there's a big chance that FTL might just work of science fiction, yeah you're gonna play the "other stuff was considered impossible ..etc" but for now it is and even at that speed you'd still need thousands of years to travel those unimaginable distances...
without mentioning the huge radiation levels , bone loss due to absens of gravity , rocks all over the place , black holes and a lot other dangers of the cosmos so I doubt they'll go through all this shit just to "exterminate us".
now this is what I call a reasonable explanation with scientific facts to back it up.
