Ep 1 was overly sentimental and the war scenes looked way too clean to represent what I've read about WW1, but they only showed the beginning. Really funny how a soldier got shot in the stomach and slow motion zoom into the guys faces with sentimental piano music and he just gently dies. If they accurately represent the horrors of WW1 with soldiers screaming and slowly dying and having to deal with the numerous corpses and psychological terror and shell shock it might become good. It just felt way too cheesy and overly 'touched up for daytime TV' at the moment.
