/offtopic I thought this cartoon was about "Stephen King's Nigga"
Yeah King admits he has taken a lot of inspiration from Lovecraft, if that wasn't obvious.
Personally I find Lovecraft can tend to over delineate instances where it would be best to let the readers imagination fill in the blanks. For example the 'Elder Things' sound absolutely ridiculous in appearance if you follow his strict description. He does have a fantastic imagination though, which means his novels are still enjoyable to read.

While Lovecraft's dialogue-writing skills at times leave a lot to be desired, you can't help but admire the rich mythos he created and the influence he had on future generations of horror writers.
