STARSHIP TROOPERS 3: MARAUDER

Casper Van Dien, Jolene Blalock, Boris Kodjoe

The war against the Bugs continues! A Federation Starship crash-lands on the distant Alien planet OM-1, stranding beloved leader Sky Marshal Anoke and several others, including comely but tough pilot Lola Beck. It's up to Colonel/General Johnny Rico, reluctant hero of the original Bug Invasion on Planet P, to lead a team of Troopers on a daring rescue mission.

TRAILER:

...well...atleast it looks better than the second one, and i REALLY wish theyd give the cheesy 'be all you can be' adverts a rest... it worked so well in the original because verhoeven was so fucking GOOD at that satirical edge he put into his films... but the directors of the new films continue to put that into their films even though they are really bad at it, which takes the cheesy good idea from the first and turns it into cheesy lame...

its also a pity that the films cast is made up of a has-been, a tv actor, and a bunch of no-names..

BUT... im a sucker for sci fi, and i still have memories of how fucking awesome and perfect the original film was... and this does look like it'll be some nice cheap fun to look forward too... when i originally heard about the film, i was all FUCK YEAH!! but now... not so much... i want verhoeven to come back and make another one... that'd be so sweet...

oh and for the record, i loved the series Very Happy yeah it was kiddie orientated, bad cgi, but it was still pretty fricken sweet.

edit:

oh god its bad. please, dont bother with it - im sorry i ever called attention to this piece of rubbish.

First one was bad ass, 2nd one was cheesy but this one looks quite nice.

Anyone notice all those Nazi related things that are in that movie?? First off, the flag is basicly the same one that Aryan Nations have and all ranked officers in the movie have look alike uniforms like Nazi officers had

i think thats a tiny bit unkind... no, it looks more worrying than anything else. bloodrayne.. now THAT looked terrible... this looks...cheap...

i still think the film could go either way.. at times it looks quite good, and at other times it looks butt nasty... i really wish that ugly no talent blalock chick wasnt in it though, i think she'll ruin every single moment shes on screen.

I liked the second part for its feeling of impending doom. Definitely some Aliens 2 atmosphere there. But the bugs are beginning to look tired and so are the lead actors. So who/what is going to carry the movie? Definitely not the fx!

And besides this just looks like an episode of any of the numerous sci-fi series that we've had. Was hoping for an end or something to the whole story.

I'm not quite understand sth here... There are people who think Starship Troopers is good film? I think that it sucked big time. I haven't seen second one but I bet it suck too. I don't mean to piss on people who liked it, but for me it was one of the worst film ever... really...

I can't believe that this film has generated more interest than the film I put up.

I guess that the console users of the world really have taken over Nforce.

That was a disparaging remark about the IQ (console users = doh) of nforce users or atleast what Jenni thinks about them wrt their taste in movies. Very Happy

That's exactly what I said about Blueberry Nights being ignored and shitty Knight Rider getting 3 pages.

Starship Troopers 2 was a colossal piece of ass, this will be no different. A shame since I really liked the first one.

what does ANY of that have to do with what you quoted me saying? and what does any of what you just said relate to the cheesy angle verhoeven personally added to the films that was not part of the book? or are you just talking out of your ass.

Yes but they're just repeating themselves so can't we just take it as a given that the story takes place in a autocracy with people under the influence of state propaganda. I wish they would move along in the storyline.

Original was Legendary. Cheesy as hell but for some reason it grabs me every time.
The sequel was utter shite.
This however looks halfway decent. It might just pull it off - I'm excited Very Happy Very Happy

This looks like.. pure garbage. Only reason it looks halfway decent is due to the low resolution.

The good thing about the first movie was that it had the B-movie-feeling but used A-movie actors and special effects. This seems to just go pure B :s
