Im not sure which section of the forum this topic belongs in since I couldn't locate the internet issues section. Anyways I have a problem:

I registered for a domain name (breathecarolina.com) on October 23rd, 2007 and it expires on Oct 23, 2008. My problem is that my host (Netkillers Hosting) went out of business back in December 2007 because of a fire.

How can I transfer my domain name to a new host?

I have really no idea in such a specific case. Is your former domain registrar completely unavailable? In fine you should ask this to the new domain registrar company that you have chosen.

I cant figure out how to create an account on the enom site. When I try to create an account, it keeps asking me for a credit card number and what kind of hosting plan I want.

just remember, dont wash your credit card with soap and water bud Wink

I got like a same problem.
I had a domain (.nl) and the registrar went down.
So I contacted SIDN (The head of the NL domains).

They said I've gotta wait 40 more days (That 40 more days is for the registrar to register it again). If the 40 days were past without any answer from the registrar, It would be available again. I got it back now, So I don't know who the head of the .COM domains are, But you should contact them first I think.
