|
 |
Yo
I'm looking for a shop in the UK that sells flashed 360s, modded Wiis and stuff like that, and ships to other european countries.
The euro/gbp rate is currently so good that I believe it would be very beneficial to buy those things in the UK rather than locally, but I don't know any reliable shops from there.
Can anyone help me out?
I was considering just buying a 360 on amazon and flashing it myself which I did before with my first 360 that died 2 months ago, but a new 360 from there would probably contain a Liteon/Philips drive and I have no idea about flashing those. I just read something about.. cutting some traces and installing a switch which kinda scared me off :P
Oh and don't know anything about Hitachi-LG drives either... hmm!

Stop taking advantage of the weak pound
I don't think many of these online shops would sell premodded 360's , and if they did i can't see them shipping across the eu
buy a 360 from amazon / shopto and a ckpro kit with spear . Then you can flash other peoples ones as well . I found it quite easy to do the liteon ( only hiccups with jungleflasher software )

really? I flashed this guy xbox for 20$ back in igh school, and it was Hitachi..so easy to do just cause my Math teacher was afraid of doing it himself but he did bring all his burned games to school everyday...I bet if I had one more year in high school, I could easly become richest kid on the block, not having need to sell crack on corners

what is this ckpro kit?
Can you flash your xbox without opening it up? Or what is the whole deal about it?
Had my 4th RROD, thank god it somehow was still under warranty, probably due to the extended warranty for the RROD problems. |
Xecuter Connectivity Kit V3 pro . sorry shouldn't have short handed it
still have to open up your xbox to get access to dvd drive . also with liteon you will have to open up the dvd's chasis to get your key
But with jungleflasher its an absolute doodle to do. Some people have trouble erasing the firmware and have to go into dos to erase and write the it . but thats pretty straight forward as well
Unfortunately if you buy your via card + connectivity kit ( and spear if your not a dab hand at soldering ) it comes to about £50 :/

ah i see, so does this also mean you still have to connect it to your pc?
sorry for the stupid questions, never bothered looking into it, because i had a guy who did it for me.
But he lives to far away now to go to him, and i am gonna assume M$ is gonna replace my xbox.
Unless they figure out it is flashed lol

yeah. but with the connectivity kit you can power it from your pc as well.
normally you have to power the drive with your open xbox 360 lying next to your pc or something while it's connected to the PC, which is quite a hassle sometimes.
Anyway, I'm probably gonna buy a premodded one here in austria. It's more expensive, but having to buy a connectivity kit + spear/probe pretty much removes the price advantage, and I'm unable to find a cheap premodded console shop in the UK.
Eventhough you can get an arcade 360 in the UK for 130 pounds, all the shops I have found offer flashed 360s for like 200 or even more. That's just not worth it.
Here in austria they don't charge so damn much for flashing a drive :p

you can buy pre-modded arcade, pro's and elites's from here
Pricey but they offer insurance should you so desire.

£260 for a 60gig premium ( without del ? )
could get a brand new one from shopto for £137 then add your kits for flashing and shipping you would still save more than 50 quid

And keep in mind that you get 1 year warranty which is very useful considering the high failure rate of xbox 360 consoles. |
but you get a 3 year warranty with microsoft , if they do it right they should leave no trace of the Box being opened ( If its the silver sticker , used a heat gun . If its the sticker a simple slow peel and some spare grease paper )
The only way microsoft would then reject is if you have been banned from live . plus new falcons or jaspers have decreased rrod quite a bit
I know your trying to avoid doing it yourself and trying to keep your warranty and such but its rather expensive and that site with the 1 year warranty will probably fob you off when they realise you are from Austria
