Religion should be outlawed. Religion causes so much pain and suffering and I dont care what god you believe in, I dont think God intended the shit that goes on in the name of Religion....
Spirituality is fine tho. Cuz there's no "law" on spirituality. Once you get into dogma and laws (ala the 10 commandments) things get all fucked up.
I mean, believe in the Bible as a book of myth, that conveys a generally positive msg, thats cool. But to believe in it literally is fuckin absurd.
To actually believe Moses climbed mount sinani and spoke to a burning bush which gave him "commandments" is nuts. If someone said that they did that today, they'd be locked up in a padded cell and pumped full of meds.
Believing in whatever as myth is fine in my opinion. I know what I believe in is myth, it cant be proven.
But how many christians actually believe that Christ has been proven to be the actual son of god and all that.....fuckin scary ass shit man
My brother is an evangelist......I know all about it crazy christians and how they take the bible literally which is extremely scary, for so many reasons. I could easy sit here for 3 or 4 hours writing a HUGE post about it and all the lies and misconceptions about the bible and how Christ is really Horus.
And dont get me wrong, Im not just against the extremist christians...but extremists jews and muslims and anyone who thinks their 'religion' is the right one.
No religion has got it right cuz NO ONE knows what happens when you die. So to think some guy in a pointy hat and a dress who lives in a palace knows more about what happens after death than you or I or anyone is just plain idiotic.
U'd think if there was 1 right religion/belief system, God would say or do something and tell everyone, this is exactly what happens and exactly how you should live or whatever.
But God doesnt care if you believe in Jesus, Mohammed, Bhudda etc as long as your nice to ppl, dont kill, rape, steal and just generally good in your life.....i think God will be fine with that ya know? Of course I dont know for sure, but I cant believe God would punish you because you arent sure if a book written by MAN is the truth or not.
Anyway, I could go on forever so I'll stop lol

And I watched Xmas Eve Mass from St. Peter's Basilica and everything the pope touched or wore was Gold. His walking stick, pure gold. The big stick with the crucifix on top, all gold. The statues on the altar, all gold. The rosaries, all gold. Like fuck, one of those rosaries would easily go for least 10k. For a religion for the poor, the guys at the top live like fuckin kings....gold, silver, gems everywhere. Even the wood is the highest quality and shit. The ceiling of ST. Peter's Basilica is covered in gold....like fuck....christians who go to church dont wonder where the money for all the gold/silver/gems come from? Lets all say it together.....COLLECTION PLATE.
Even when I was forced to go to church (my mom is roman catholic) she/we never put shit in the fleecing plate.
Same reason I wont and never will donate to any type of Christian charity....
And what kills me is ppl will say "Oh, Im not catholic, Im baptist/protestant/anglican etc"....its all run by the same cross dressers/pedo's.
If you read the bible (and I have, from front to back, numerous times cause i had to go through Confirmation) Jesus wore the same fuckin robe and the same sandles while preaching throughout 'the holy land'. But yet, the Pope, who is supposed to be Gods/Jesus/The Holy Spirit's messenger on earth dresses in gold and expensive ass clothes that only the richest of ppl could afford.
And Jesus camped out in caves and shit with his disciples and stuff....the Pope lives in a fuckin HUGE HUGE palace....talk about a contradiction.....thats not even a contradiction, its a mockery of their own religion.
Yet this alludes what, 1 billion christians....fuckin sheepole...
I love it when the Pope talks about tolerance and solving world hunger. If the vatican sold half of the gold statues it has, it could feed millions of poor ppl in africa and around the world. And tolerance....yeah, be tolerant...unless the person is a homosexual or not of the christian faith.....like fuck, its mind numbingly stupifying how much of a contradiction the church is....
Basically, its a corporation under the guise of 'religion'.
Like bill maher said on his show (Real Time) one time this year. If the whole child fucking thing would have been done by say Big Brothers or Big Sisters or by a corporation, everyone...from the perps to the ceo would have gone to jail.
But because it was priests and its 'religion', nothing happened and tons of kids are gunna grow up fucked up. The Pope should be sitting in a fuckin cell imo. He's the CEO, he knew about it, he was involved with the shuffling around of the priests and the cover up....FUCKIN SICKENING....

Just listened to "Science Radio 2008 round up" Swedish prog (P1 state owned radio channel).
Was really happy to hear one of the guys there talking about Darwin's 200 Bday (12 February 2009) and how all Creationists" basically can go to hell  .
He did not say that exactly, but he just mentioned that 200 years of research in to evolution can not really be that wrong compared with some crackheads coming up with some nutty idea about cavemen and dinosaurs living in harmony...well you get the point.
Surprised me to hear that, normally Swedish media is pretty "careful" with statements like that.

All the words the Syco said are true. That's the main reason I became agnostic. No priest who drives brand new car will tell me to donate more money to the church.
These days they go around 'blessing' houses. And you can 'voluntarily' give like 10 € if you like. But if you don't then he won't visit your house the next year. When my mom heard about it she laughed and said no way jose I go to church only for site-seeing purposes (churches are great architectural buildings, that's all).

There are no original texts to compare the King James Bible to unless you are referring to the THOUSANDS of manuscripts which are all copies of the original texts which no longer exist. . .
The translators (which wasn't King James) went through and compared all those manuscripts and kept the ones that were in agreement with one another (the majority texts). They were extremely intelligent men. Read about those guys and you'll be amazed.
Bible scholars are pretty much all in agreement that the King James is the most accurate translation in existence.
Anyway, Jesus went through the temple pretty ticked off at people for selling stuff pertaining to God. Freely you have received. . . freely give and all that.
