wtf is up with them. Seems like most towns over here got romanians selling roses and some blue flashing shit outside popular bars. Dunno why they are all over here... they are all wearing the same stuff and selling the exact same roses too. Trying to sell their overpriced BS to drunk people :\
Guess its better than selling themselves.. but wtf is up with this? Any romanians here that care to explain?

sorry, was drunk when I posted this yesterday. Anyway I guess they are gipsies (pretty dark skincolor to be from Romania). Just damn with them constantly trying to get your to buy their stupid roses.

deelix .. Would you prefer beggars ? One day you will realize that not everyone has the paperwork required to do a normal job, nor the inclination. Street sellers are an important part of society. A part that is falling away, without street sellers people are utterly dependent on shopping chains. A society without street life has no life or liberty @ all. When i worked the street the rose sellers were often a very valuable source of information as to where I could find things, places & people. Never piss off a gypsy, remember you don't know where they live & they can easily find you in your zenidenic existance.

I really wish we could all have nice jobs, all be happy and all have great circumstances but unfortunately that isnt the case in the real world, and it depresses me whenever i ponder over it.

what depresses me is people thinking everyone wants the same life. Believe it or not some people hate houses, love living outdoors only go indoors as a last resort. I know people who hate being on land, only feel comfortable on the water. Its our various lifestyle choices that makes society great. Expecting everyone to fit into the same mold is what makes society shit.

please shutup. i wasnt talking about gypsies but people who come to other countries illegally in search for better lives, or in refuge and are unable to get to places legally and work legally.

im not trying to be funny im making valid points about how street selling isnt a choice for many and how i wish everyone could have good lives, but circumstances make it not possible. i wouldnt expect you to understand, you are more concerned on when and what your next pair of trainers will be.

I actually find it disturbing that Romanian had to be stated? over generalization maybe?
besides who cares they are earning a living, hopefully it is all legal and they aren't robbing grave sites and hospitals of the flowers people leave.

bar the fact that its illegal. i cant imagine the amount of shit they have to take from the public aswell especially the drunk public! if theres any trouble i suspect they have to high tail it out of there since they dont wanna get caught aswell.
rose selling is not a career, its a means of survival plain and simple. thats my opinion.

no im under the impression that a lucky individual is one who gets to choose what they want to do for their vocation, an area they are truly passionate about, a job that they love to do, a career is one of advancement. someone who has this is truly blessed. there maybe some who love rose selling, but im sure that it ISNT their choice at the end of the day but a product of circumstance.

Well I agree, its better than beggars. And they are pretty nice people. But they all act the same, and maybe a little to agressive. I know there are countries with big markeds, streetsellers etc. But I don't see how we need that in Norway, its not good for our society. We doesn't earn anything (materalistic speaking) of poor europeans comming here and selling stuff in the streets. bu we DO earn something on people that actually come here get a decent job (often builders, electicans, cleaners etc.) and then of course go back to their families in the old country to support them, thats cool. But selling roses.. god damnit.They should at least get a stand or something. So we can come to them if we want roses, we shouldn't have to feel rude to turn them down all the time, because we don't want their roses. Just my opinion.
On the other side most of them both act and dress pretty nice.
And btw, I didnt piss them off. Or maybe one of those guys/girls, but they wont ever find me, muhahaha

deelix .. Clearly the people you have pissed off are more understanding of your manner of being than you are of theirs. The fact you live in one place makes you significantly more predictable & vulnerable than those who don't live such a static a repetitive existance. I'm sorry you don't see the value of street life, Perhpas if you spent some time where the streets are always alive with activity you would realize the value of it. Seems to me people who can have a good time without having to pay for it are better off than those who do. But clearly that is just me.

Buying a girl a rose guarantees NOTHING. It is a nice thing to do if it is sincere but most women are not so cheep to give any type of sex for a $3 rose.
@everybody else
I don't think people think that bad over rose sellers over here. They come into restaurants and bars at night and hit up on the tables. The establishments let them in for one. They are always dressed nice and are polite. I bet most of them have other jobs during the day.
I always feel bad for the guys at the table when (usually) she comes around. Kinda puts in the guy on the spot. Makes him feel cheap if he says no.
Also the girls that don't get one feel bad too even if they don't show it. Like like the girl that never gets asked to dance.
