Really how long has it been since a MechWarrior game has been released? I miss playing them especially #3 online. I know that 5 was canceled a while back but I figured they would eventually bring the franchise back. It was a successful series so what gives?

For me MW died when Activision stopped making it. 3rd one was ok, but I felt like it was missing a lot from the other 2. Never played the 4th one, so i dunno.

Heh we played the very first MechWarrior with a friend back when we were kids, good times. Smile
MW 2 was awesome as well, but never really got into the later games.. But yeah, a series definitely worthy of a proper revival.

MW4 was awesome. Too bad the intellectual rights of MechWarrior now reside with a company called Smith & Tinker.

Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards
Bravery is not a function of firepower.

Nah its not my work, but i too want to see a new MechWarrior game.

For the people that have MW4: Mercenaries i can recommend the "MechStorm High-Definiton Patch".

Quote:
It is a patch which will update all the original 'Mechs and a few Mektek 'Mechs, weapon sound effects, as well as increase the image resolution of the images for most foliage, rocks, etc., and many buildings.

A great way to reply a nice "classic".

Wow. That looks very promising. The renders and vids look amazing. I really like the map in Extremity Flythrough video. The heads up is much appreciated Mi205.
