I'm currently going through some economical difficulties, my income and the income of my wife disappears a few days after we've received, and that's only to pay the most urgent debts, house, car, gas, electricity, etc.

Finding a second job is proving to be quite difficult, I have some free time during the week, but I'm unable to find a job to fill that empty time.

Some time ago, I read about the concept of affiliate marketing and it seemed something more real and logical than the concept of Ad Serving, and It seemed something palpable to give it a try.

I have web-design skills, and I "think" I understand enough about the concept, I know that eventually I will have to purchase some .com or .net site, but I still have some questions, after buying the site do I need to spend any more money?, the cheapest domain server will do the trick? or do I have to follow some minimal requisites of site for it to work?

and bottom line is, is it worth it? does investing time, work and some money in Affiliate Marketing compensates? or is it just pointless?

for me having an extra €500 to €1000 monthly is what I'm in lack off and would solve most problems in my financial live.

is it forseaable that I can make that money by using Affiliate Marketing, and if so, how much would I have to initially spend for get it to work?

if there are some Affiliate Marketers here, I would surely like their opinion.

thanks in advance.

Its a treacherous biz. You can be easily fucked over; not something which you want to be relying on to pay bills with.

If you have web design skills, you should be using them. Creating templates and selling them can bring a little bit of money..

I recommend looking into Syphonning business. Advertise a great webdesign service and outsource to good designers, putting a 20% piece on top of your client charge.

Example : you find client who wants a site

You take clients project to a designer + ask them how much it would be to create (pretend its your project) and they will quote you. You then go back to the client and quote them 20% more than what the designer asked. The designer does your work, you give work to client, client pays you, you pay designer what he wants and keep the 20% for your efforts. It can become very lucrative.

Yes Affiliate Marketing is a lucrative biz.
No it is not risk free; yes you need to have experience, and can get fucked over easily.
I've been doing it for a couple of months now, but that still didn't stop me from going $400 into the minus this month Sad

how is that possible? if your affiliate links sell, you make money, but how can you lose it with this type of biz?

Some people use PPC advertising to promote affiliate links. People click on the links, but don't fill out the forms behind them, so I pay for the clicks, but get no money in return Sad

you pay $400 per month for the clicks, that's pretty much imo.

anyway, does it matter? you've said you've been doing it for some time now, do you have an average gain?

I will probably not pay for the clicks, my idea is to design some 2 or 3 sites with specialized affiliates, and advertise for myself on forums, blogs, etc

If I am to invest in this, I don't pretend to spend more than €80 per month, and anything above an average gain of €400 per month would be good enough for me.

my point is, does it worth all the work and time?

what's your opinion since you seem to be working on it for quite some time.

Like I said, it's lucrative. I was gaining a couple thousand $$$/month on an insurance ad that I was advertising through PPC advertising. The ad got cancelled tho, so now I am experimenting with other ads. I've never actually built specialized web pages to make a profit off of them; I'm experimenting with that right now. So, when it comes to what you are planning to do, I have no idea if it's worth it, but other people say it is if you do it right. I guess it's all up to you Smile

thanks for your opinion, just got a last question, what are the best affiliate networks to join in your opinion?

I subscribed with clickbank.com, cause they seemed to have a considerable good affiliate database, but I'm unsure if they're the right pick or if there are other companies with more specialized ads and greater dbs.
