Ok, so im going to format my work next week (it's been acting up lately) and I'm a bit confused as for what OS would take the squeeze the most out of my shitty PC in photoshop.

Vista, XP sp3 or maybe even a hacked Macintosh OS.

My specs are:
P4 2.6
1 gig RAM
ATI x1800 GTO

I'm using CS3 ofc.

i'd go win2k if its only for photoshop much better memory usage than xp you will save 100-200mb of memory that windows xp would be hogging.

i dont know if a hackintosh would be worth it on that setup, snop1050 is right about win2k...
