i have been to switzerland a couple of times. I have done big trips with backpack (7days) from hut to hut. I have done my trips in the valliser alps (SE of swiss, matterhorn etc region).
I have visited a lot of 'famous' huts such as Tracuit and Grand Mountet which are used as starting points for climbs to the matterhorn or zinalrothorn.
I never went higher than those huts though. Those huts are around 3000-3200m and i have been to 3400-3500 summits, but not very technical summits. Some snow now and then and a rope now and then but nothing fancy. But that was ok, i was 16-19 when i was running around there, and as a mountain n00b it was cool to do anyway.
but now i am graduating and i had this fancy idea about going back to the mountains before i start working. And i started looking around to climb a mountain but it is hard to find some information. I can find maps with routes and how to climb several mountains, but i am a complete nood. I have no idea about guides. I have used some equipment before, but im still a noob with ropes and those iron things under your feet. I want to climb some mountain, but i dont want to risk my life.
Anyone from france/swiss/italy or other person with climbing experience? Is there a noobie mountain i can climb? What equipment do i need? Is it safe to climb alone, with 2 people, 3 people etc etc. How should i plan my journey etc?
