I ate some popcorn today and bit down on a unpopped Kernel. I actually said "this is my last bite" Sad anyway I cracked my wisdom tooth. I knew I cracked it but I wasn't sure exactly what tooth. It really hurt. My whole lower jaw was really hurt. Sad

I was getting ready for bed and brushed my teeth and started to floss. Part of my wisdom tooth came out. Now I have to get a crown (if I am that lucky ) or maybe even remove the tooth. I am so stressed because I don't want to go through another cap. I am scared of pulling out the tooth as well.

I have nightmares about loosing my teeth and now it is happening. Anyone else feel the same?

It is sunday morning 12:45 am. I have to wait til monday to call for an apt. Then prob wait for a few more days. At this moment the pain is ok but it is going to get worse. It is quite sharp tho and is cutting the inside of my mouth. Anything hot or cold really hurts. I think the nerve is exposed. I can't bit down which may be a good thing because then I won't eat.

I am sorry to hear that pistol, I remember havin my wisdom teeth out and that wasn't fun. We will all hope it's something that won't require the tooth to be removed.

Better to get it pulled IMo. Sounds harsh i know, but your looking @ long term discomfort & eventual pulling anyhoo, better to prevent the possibilities of aggravating more teeth. Sad

Sorry Pistol, teeth problmes are an inevitable part of the aging process, eating well & lots of sex (proven to be good for your teeth) helps slow down the process.

wisdom teeth are pretty useless anyway
had problems with one of them and simply removed it, too much pain for nothing

i broke my first molar on a hard boiled sweet.... it completly cracked half of the tooth away almost so the dentist just shoved a huge filling in there Laughing all u could see was 70% metal and 30% tooth Rolling Eyes

it only lasted about 6 months before the pressure from chewing on the filling caused the other side of the tooth to crck away so i was left with a pretty flat tooth they had to drill out what a lot of hassle when he could have just pulled it out the first time Rolling Eyes

We can make it better, faster, stronger, more teethier...

yea teeth suck, at the start of the year i had a similar problem. was having dinner and there was something hard in it and crack, back right tooth chipped a small piece off. and to make it worse the edges were now really sharp and i bit a really tiny piece of my tongue off from the edge a few days later, bled like a motherfcker. thank god tongues heal fast.

Had exactly the same thing happen to me and I blamed the popcorn though the dentist told me that it was the tooth that was rotten. Got a crown because I'd broken just the points on the tooth so it could be ground flat (that was fun Sad) and a crown put on it.

Vowed off popcorn but that lasted only a couple of months and nowadays I eat only the popped kernels although those unpopped ones are the tastiest. Very Happy

Fixing the wisdom thooth is one of the most useless things to do. These theeth will cause you the most problems. Normally these are removed in case of a bigger trauma (like yours). Usually they're cut out. The sooner the better.

I think I might end up doing with Chin said and have it removed. Mortibus is right. Wisdom teeth are pretty useless althou they do help keep your other teeth in place so I have hear. Plus a cap or crown is always a pain in the ass. Takes 2 apts. It feels so weird right now. Sharpand its cutting my tongue. It hurt more before but with the piece missing it has taken the pressure of the root. I poked it with a q-tip and holy shit did that ever hurt. Exposed root. I am drinking tea atm and its ok.
niggahlovah no gold teeth for me. I always go for the white.

Swing. No more popcorn for me I love those unpoped kernels too. I think you sold them people would buy them. I would call them "The bottom of the bag"

I am talking a bit funny because it is cutting the inside of my mouth. I can't move my tongue so I sound like I have marbels in my mouth. I hope I don't end up with a smelly mouth infection while I wait. Sad

Pistol .. to reduce the risk of infection drink something salty, I drink hot Marmite when I have tooth issues. Don't know if you can get Marmite where you are .. Steer clear of milk & wheat they promote infection, & sugary stuff obviously .. Wink Good luck hun. Tooth pain is a nightmare, its like your very bones are exposed.

That's the best option in the long run.

Try drinking Clove tea, it's a great natural anaesthetic Smile

If you have it in powder, you can even put it directly on your tooth. It will numb the entire area.

They actually put it dental fillings.

Looks nasty Sad

Hope you'll "fix" it soon so you'll stop cutting your tongue with your own tooth Smile
