So, what are my options for (gaming) output on a TV or PC screen ?

If you have a psp slim then you can buy a cable that has component and composite output. Not that commom with those connections on a pc monitor but most new HDTV's have component ( max 480p with psp) and most older SDTV's have composite.

If you have an old phat psp, the only option is to buy a third party addon (big thing you put on your psp's display which acts like a camera and then connects to your tv). Crappy picture and expensive.

Even with a slim and the original cable it's still bad. It doesn't just translate anything the PSPs showing to the TV. There's a lot of glitches and problems when running different types of content like video players and emulators. Sometimes it shows ok sometimes it doesn't at all.

I have a slim PSP. Suppose I have a cable ... how is it with games ?

It's ok on a small SD, but sucks even on a HD ready LCD.
