I connected my ethernet cable from my cable modem to the internet ethernet port on my router..
Then connected from one of the four LAN ports to my PC and just now connected another
port to my XBOX 360 but I get error during "IP ADDRESS" has "failed"..
everything is set to automatic in the xbox options..btw my router is DGL-4500...Im kinda new to routers but im pretty sure thats how it supose to work :/
btw im using WIRED connection not wireless.
Also my second question is, I just got VGA cable do I need to unplug one of monitor ports to use pc/xbox?
lets say now if my pc is running, i connect xbox cable and power up xbox it works fine but if i disconnect that vga ceble and plug the dvi cable back in my monitor goes black and says there is no signal and I need to reboot my PC.
Is there like a way to rescan it so i dont have to do all that ? and im using viewsonic x924
and I just got GTA and cant even get online, wrrrrr

go to your mac settings on your Xbox 360 , and write your modem mac in there with the last one letter higher you know if your mac is madmmas1543123 then write madmmas1543124
but if you don't have your modems mac , then go check your mac in windows settings , go to Start>run ,write cmd , Ipconfig/all , look for your Ethernet ,then write your mac and insert it into your xbox
or if you still don't get it then go here for a step by step tutorial
