Not sure what shit breaks down, I'm on x86 sp1 for some time now, updates perfectly well.
Is it something to do with x64 vista?

It hasn't been reactivated during the boot, as usual? Do you have tried to reinstall the vista boot loader crack?
I haven't mess with my hardware since that update, using an up-to-date Microsoft.Windows.Vista.Ultimate.X64.OEM.DVD.READ.NFO-NoPE with the leaked refresh 2 aka SP1 service pack.

No problem here using realtek RTL8168B/8111B gigabyte ethernet and CS:S, may need some network device's driver update on your side.

Otherwise weird that i can't find this potentially dangerous KB940510 update, either installed or over windows update.

Well, if I install SP1 on a pre-installed vista, will it kill the activation and give me the black screen of death?

vLited Vista SP1
vs
Server 2008

Did anyone do a benchmark of this? I did use google, but all I see is whining and Crab-talk
Anyone care to help a poor soul ? Crying or Very sad

You could also recommend me a benchmark and i'll do it within VMWare Razz. At least both system would be within an equally crappy environment Wink

Installed XP (SP2), nLited XP (SP2), Vista (SP1), vLited Vista (SP1) on my older PC and ran SiSoft Sandras Performance Index test 2 times each (was to lazy for more)
Specs: Amd Athlon XP 3400+, 1GB RAM, GeForce 6600

The result is this:
 Spoiler:

Thought maybe someone cared. Wanted to test Server2008 as well, but in the end i just didnt Razz
Are there any benchmarks that are more representative as a performance index?

This is probably not exactly the right thread...
