Youve all heard how barmen always have funny and random/stupid stories to tell about the drunken idiots and their antics.. well get this one, I LOL'ed.
A guy comes in, looks about 21-22. Orders 3 double vodka and red bulls (baring in mind the red bulls hit 2 quid a pop), I buzz off and rack it up and put the drinks down. It comes to like 15-16 quid. I ask for the cash he hands me a fucking tenner. I say its 16 quid mate not enough.. he says *I dont have 15 quid* I say *you dont have the drinks then* he starts whinging and kicking off, so sarah gives him his double vodkas and takes the 3 red bull cans bringing his order in to about 9.60.. I take his tenner and charge him for the 3 double schmernoffs and put the redbull back in the fridge and he waddles off to the table...
About ten mins later, I notice 2 youngish looking lads come in the bar and sit down with this twat. So instantly im thinking for fuck sake..
The first lad comes back again and orders a carling. I pull the pint and off he goes again to the table. Next time I turn around one of the under age cunts is drinking the pint. *The first lad comes to the bar and says can you take my details down im looking for a job. He then starts writing his details down, INCLUDING his fucking age which is 17. How can someone be that fucking stupid? So I say right then bud so youve just told me your 17 and your mate has bought you a pint, out please.* he starts kicking off, the gaffer and the bouncers hear and lynch all three which then proceed to leg it (fucking wasted) and get on push bikes outside, riding off wobbling all over the place. 
How fucking stupid can someone get? If your gonna bluff your age and get a mate to buy you a pint, DONT SIT AT THE TABLE NEXT TO THE FUCKING BAR, and DONT write your frigging age and details down on a notepad and ask for it to be passed on since your looking for work. Jesus christ.
So I get the fucking bollocking from the gaffer because I apparently should have eyes in the back of my skull when theres 20 + people deep at the bar wanting drinks whilst three fucking kids pull a fast one. I seriously hate these cunts. Although I did notice it straight away since Im pretty sharp like that (no self back patting intended, I just know all the tricks in the book) the gafffer STILL has a go at me and gives me the fucking ID run down blabla....
all this on the last hour of a 6 hour shift on a friday busy night...

You need to find a new bar. Any bar that serves minors is asking for trouble. Esp for the staff that work there and depend on thier wage..... if they were smart....

We didn't serve minors, thats the thing. They get their buddies who are legal and have ID to come in 10 mins early and order a few drinks. Usually if they have any sense they will go sit at a table out of sight so that we can only check it out and catch them if we go for a walk. Which on a busy night you just cant do unless its just for a quick glass collection at the closer tables..
Theres pretty much no telling if they are gonna be legit or not. Unless they do something stupid and get caught like tonight with this idiot. I always try to keep an eye on who comes in and where they sit, but when your are up to your neck in custommers and the place is filled with heads you can't do much about it. All I check is the ID of the buyer and try to keep an eye open, its just the gaffer expects me to be Yoda.

Yeah, but there is a back entrance and there is only 2 door staff on a friday. Either they got in unseen somehow or they snook in the fucking fire exit or something.

In holland you are responsible for where the liqor goes. Does the 21 yo give it to a minor in your bar, and you dont do anything about it? You are responsible, even if you cant see it. Thats why allot of clubs check at the entrance, just to get the minors out. I stand behind a bar to, gave it to a 16 yo and he gave the beer to 2 14 yo. I asked them to leave..

Ive never been to a bar before but looking forward to visit one maybe this summer. Not a big fan of alcohol I always get sick

You can go to a bar by yourself. I have plenty of times.
And its easy to meet people at a bar and sit down and have a few drinks.
Try it, strike up a casual conversation with someone and I bet you'll have a good time |
