|
 |
When I start playing, after 10 min or so some blue or red lines appear all over the screen and my computer freezes.
After the pc freezes, the monitor goes black and it restarts.
My resolution is 1440x900 - 75hz
Does anyone have this sort of problem? It just happens when I'm playing Assassin's Creed.
My specs are Quad core Q6600 2,4 geforce 8800GT, Vista 64, 4gb of ram.
These are the things that I've tried so far:
I've tried installing vista 32, no luck
Tried switching the gfx drivers to 174.74, 169.25 and 169.44 - All of these have the same bug.
Ran a ram test, everything is fine.
Does anyone have any clue of what's causing the freeze?
thanks in advance

i would say it's your videocard overheating
some games stress some more sensitive components more than others
asscreed is pumping the pixelshaders some more than others

Worked fine on my 8800GT overclocked with Vista 64.
Update drivers and clean up your system.
Red and blue artifacts is most likely from overheating.

It's a known issue and it appears that several other people have this problem, unsure how one would fix it.
(Wonder what causes it, driver related perhaps?) |
gee
Thanks dude,
Gonna wait for a patch then.
Today I almost called the board seller telling him that I had a defective card.
Hope it gets fixed soon.
