Braid is a platformer/puzzle game with unique elements that aim to provide a mind-expanding, filler-free experience. The player journeys across seven worlds to rescue a princess; in each world, time behaves in its own peculiar way. The player must cleverly manipulate the flow of time to solve puzzles.
The guy that presents the trailer reaaaaally isnt trained for PR, dont think i've heard so many "ummm", "you know", "right", "sort of", "errrm" etc ever before.
Braid is now available on PartnerNet.

(If such a place exists.)
Please keep in mind that there are a lot of small tweaks to be done in terms of presentation. This build is only a day old, and already a number of things have been done to make the game look and play better. But if you don’t mind title screens that are slightly off-center (ugh!), give the current build a whirl.
This game looks great, bu I've got to say, the guy who's making is has got to be one of the most ridiculously pretentious assholes to ever make a videogame. I've read some of his blog and watched some of his presentations about Braid, and he's seriously one of the most pompous buffoons in the business. He sounds like he wouldn't be out of place in the traditional art world.
Correcting people since 2007 even if they're not wrong.
Really? Name one before pop that was significant enough. In his presentation he mentioned he has taken it from PoP, just "improved" it a little.
But guess in the end it doesn't matter, cause I am probably not gonna play it.

Blinx: The Time Sweeper on the original Xbox. Came out well over a year before PoP: SoT did. . And it became a Platinum Hits title, so it sold pretty well.
Riiiight...Now you are just being philosofical.Thats not what I ment. I wanted to say Braid creator shamefully copied identical game concepts from other games like: PoP, and an ugly platformer called Blinx:The Clock Wearing Cat.
Well onto the topic then.
Braid looks like a childrens picture book and I am not gonna play it.
I'll ratehr w8 for a new PoP.
*Runs off to play GTA4*
absolutely amazing game on the 360 live arcade, takes influences from all the best platformers past and present in a beautiful hand painted enviroment.
without doubt the best game on live arcade...
superb indy game design, rock hard later on, the time manipulation maybe nothing new but is used in such an intelligent manner that it makes my brain ache in a good way
A lot of people are writing in asking about the release date for the Braid PC version.
I had originally announced the release date for the end of 2008, but for various reasons, this hasn’t happened. Once we slipped into mid-October and all the big Christmas-season blockbusters started coming out, it just seemed like a bad idea to schedule Braid for that time period, as it seems likely it’d get released and then disappear.
At this time, we’re looking at a window of February-March 2009 for the PC release. I know this isn’t good news for those of you who have been waiting a long time for the game, but there sure are lots of games out there for you to play in the meantime.
I am also in talks with someone to do a Mac version (native code). The release date for this would be hopefully not long after the PC version.
There are no plans for other platforms in the near future, though as I’ve mentioned before, a PS3 version a little later on remains a possibility (though again, this depends on whether Sony is interested in the game).
The PC version of indie puzzle / platformer / existential mind-warp put out on the Xbox Live Arcade last August was given a solid release date. On March 31 it'll be made available through Stardock's Impulse digital download portal, letting a new audience dig into a title that received unanimous praise, garnering an 8.8 from IGN and maintaining a 9.3 Metacritic average.
Naw man, basically he had the PC version since before the release of PS3, then caved to pressure from Sony or whatever and released only on PS3, then said some mysterious problems kept him from releasing in December, and now it's end of March. Hey, I've been saying myself that a delay on games isn't a reason to disqualify them, but at least be honest about it, like Ubisoft and Capcom have been, don't make these ridiculous excuses.
The game is not on ps3 and may never be. He says sony have not show any intrest in the game. He then have to find publishers for a pc version. Papper work probely tok some time. Testing so it work with the companys distribution mechanisms.
you’ll be able to buy Braid for $14.95. Stardock is one of two or three Windows PC-oriented download sites that I have signed with. The others haven’t made their announcements yet, but when they do, I’ll post it here
