The only thing you'll have trouble with is playing DVD and Bluray I think too, as they're region locked, all PS3 games are region free though.

And what with the languages?? Do all the games have every language on every BD?
I mean, sometimes games are subtitled, would be fun to have audio in english and subs in dutch or something.

Well every game i bought in belgium, contained every language on it. We have 2 languages in belgium, the french part dubs the games, the dutch part usual has original version with english subtitles. I've bought a couple of games with box only in french, manual in french and mentioned on the box "game completely in french", it stil played in english (coz my "bios" is configured in english). Most games will contain every language and boot the different one depending on the language of your OS.
Metal Gear Solid 4 however will be an exception to that rule. as the disc is already full with the game, there was no place left on the disc to add every language on it. So if you import it from japan, you'll only get japanese text and language, in france only french, and so on.

Ah thanks, so you say that it is possible to (with every other game than MGS4) import them from US (cheap dollar) and play them on my PS3?

It won't work out of the box, you'll need to buy a German transformer/plug, USA voltage is half that of Germany. OK if you like fireworks ....

I thought the PS3's power supply is compatible world-wide? I'm pretty sure I've heard something like this.

I'm talking about the games, not the console. I already have a console.

The Ps3`s powersupply is universal. all you need is a standard powercable that fits.
Thats all.
Phylum22 is the definition of wrong.

the voltage of my PS3 is set from 220 volts to 240 volts. Got some problems there, as currently, the national voltage is set at 210 volts, but at last it worked.
I've noticed anyway that some problems are detected between ntsc an pal systems with the standard tv cables (the yellow one). to avoid them, simply connect a hdmi cable; you will love it!
right now im playing gran turismo prologue and beowulf. have my assasins creed still in the box.
im waiting for gta4, crysis (with the gun control) and the metal gear solid one!!!
