Why not let the child determine their fate themselves. There is plenty of people who were born to crappy parents and did fine in life.
And you should wait until you have a kid yourself to start airing your opinions because anyone that is pro "convenience abortions" after having a kid, is just plain evil IMO.

i'd rather people have a choice of wether or not they want to give birth, just because whatever precautions they were taking failed doesnt mean they should be forced to have a kid they would probably neglect for 16years.
my brother was going out with some woman who cared more for getting stoned than looking after her 4year old boy, she expected him to sit in his room by himself all day playing with his toys, if he came out seeking attention he got shouted at....
great childhood that guy is going to remember. i dont understand how people can be like that and you might not want to think there are cunts who do that sort of shit but there are and without abortions i expect there would be a hell of alot more.
personally i think kids are great i can have some pretty good conversations with my 3year old boy when hes in a good mood, better than what you get from alot of adults tbh

I have to agree with snop on so many of his points. Esp about people having choice and about kids growing up in homes where they are taken for granted or worse abused. Some people should never become parents.
There are so many really great kids already up for adoption. Most are not babies, most people want babies. Some have special needs too.

While I agree with the choices and lives, one "could" argue that if you get pregnant unplanned that you have made a choice and you should live with it.
Um, women are incubators, at least part incubator, but there's a whole lot more.
I think abortion should be a choice, a legit and legal choice, I also think that men should
have a say.

A say on what? What women do with their body.
It's my body. I'll decide what I do with it, no one else.

Men contribute to the process, and while women will always have the final say because it is their body, respectfully I believe women should ask the man his opinion, and at least consider it prior to making a descision. That in my realm falls under the respect umbrella.
Read not to contradict and confute, nor to believe and take for granted, but to weigh and consider.

Actually most men don't have the chance given the choice to sleep with a woman they find attractive and in many cases even if they don't.

Im pro-choice....to an extent.
If a woman is raped and conceives (sp?) then I think she should have the right to abort the child.
What I dont agree with is whores who run around fuckin people and falling back on having an abortion. If you have consensual sex with someone and the result is conception, then you deal with it. Unless your poverty stricken and cannot provide for the child, then id accept an abortion as an alternative.
Even still, putting the child up for adoption after birth would be a better solution
But when it comes down to it, its the womans (and man's if she's married/in a relationship) choice.
And couldnt they use aborted fetus' for stem cell research?
Im totally in favour of stem cell research. Its been proven to cure all sorts of disease and such. To bad the US is run by crazy evangelical christians waiting for the rapture...but thats another discussion i guess

you only have choices when I let you out of the shackles dear
anywho im all for abortion, not for those idiots who dont' know how to use common sense with protection, but what about that girl who got raped, why should she have to go through the pain of birth when she didn't want it in the first place.
Ya sure you can throw the word adoption around etc, but most of those people don't know anyone or have been an orphan themselves. I know a few people and it really fucked with their head.

To be honest, without thinking about the issue much, and from a pragmatic social point of view I jump at pro-choice almost by default......
When I think about it more, from an ethical abstract point of view.......I guess I don't have an opinion on a clearly defined right answer.....

Women are easy.
No matter what status, looks or age, nor intelligence Ive seen one of each kind.. Im a young bloke aswel, and let me say, a cheeky smile and the right words gets any woman over.
Not to make me sound like a player, im not at all, I just LOL when women seem to think they have us men all figured out when in reality we are quite the same.
The ammount of times I could have taken advantage over a girl without really doing anything but a few words and smiles is unreal, and im not even a good looking bloke IMO.
Female weakness is being too trusty, hense why 99% of women think men are all the same.. cos they fall for the same shit over and over again.
Male weakness is natural vanity. We see a pretty face and a nice ass, we cant help ourselves.

i dont agree with that statement women are only easy if they want to be.
theres plenty of women who dont offer themselfs up on a plate but you probably dont goto the same places they do.

Ok maybe my first statement was a little harsh.. But from my experiences and what I have seen, women are so easily fooled even if they are intelligent.

I think a fair counter argument to the 'it's their body, their decision' argument, is the fact that ultimately the resonsibility for destroying the embryo falls on the State, so from that perspective, surely it's the States ethical question as much as the parents?
