I got the CS:Source beta .gcf file and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to play it since i don't seem to have an .exe file or a client.dll

I just read that the Beta will come 18th Aug, and "only avaible for those with condition zero", what does that mean? Just having cz installed is enough? I guess noone could know, but wondering anyways..

noobs. the GCF file is just the preload data. put it in the C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps or C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps folder depending on what install u got. this is of no use though since u need to log in through a cyber cafe id for it to be activated. otherwise all the other GCF files which are also stored there would be used and ppl would exploit it.

You can play the full retail copy of Condition Zero just through the .gcf.

find out how to enable other than valve mods for half life and you find a way to enable cs:s gcf file (i think)
