don`t open all ports!!

I guess your pc is connected to that router, too?!
Are there any ports forwarded to the internal ip adress of your pc that are need for xbl?

I suggest to research what ports are needed and only forward these to your xbox.
use the build in firewall of your router and don`t open all ports!

If your router has upnp (and the xb360, too) just enable this - all of the above should solve your problem.

Try putting your 360 in the DMZ. For some odd reason, on some routers, I had to open ports and put it in the dmz for it to work properly.

Well, nvm, i fixed it.

I was running Router, to PC, to switch, to 360.

Now im running Router to PC to 360 (by NIC), and bridged connection. Now I have NAT status open.

Still somethings wrong with the servers handling FM2, i still get the Failed to Connect-message Sad

My bet is on crappy Live service, like they had problems around the holidays. I'd wait for a day or two, or have you changed anything on your side prior to the problems?

Ok, so now i´m pretty damn pissed. And it´s all because of my fucking goddamn piece of dogshit router.

First off, fuck you Netgear.

Secondly, i need help with this:

I now connect to my wireless router with the 360 Wireless USB Adapter, works perfect.
I had issues connecting to players in various games, mostly FM2 wich i play the most on Live.
Read up on the router, and on xbox.com, the router is Live Certified, but only with an older firmware, as of now. So what i did was, downgrade the router, and then put my 360 as DMZ Server. Well look at that, no more connection problems! So what now? Well, now the POS router decides to die every now and then. Happens a couple of times every day. Can´t access the net, cant log-in on the damn thing. Nothing. Wich means i have to go to the damn thing and restarting it, by unpluging it. And its a wireless router for a reason, and it being close is not it.

So, i try this - upgrade to latest firmware, again put the 360 as DMZ server. Then what? Then the DMZ-thing doesnt do shit. I can rarely connect to players anymore. Almost never in FM2.

So, any of you geniouses know what i should do? Any help is very appreciated!

That's strange, I haven't forwarded any ports to my 360's IP but it's working nonetheless. At least I haven't noticed that somethings not working. Online play in TDU, R6 or Crackdown was working fine for me, for the time i had a gold account anyway.

It has nothing to do with ports, it seems. It doesnt matter how many ports I open, i even tried opening all ports to the specific X360 IP, nothing. UPnP on - does nothing. I still get the damn Failed to Connect error when trying to connect to games. I can connect to Live though.

try another router... if the problem is gone, you know for sure that your router is the problem... that`s what i would do.

Can you hook up the 360 via lan to check if wlan is the issue? Worth a shot before buying a new router.
