Lol ok I'm just curious if anybody knows their stuff when it comes to respiratory system etc.
Every now and then my heart starts racing up like I just jogged for about 30 minutes and start sweating etc and it's rather random , like getting out of the shower, couple days ago I lifted something and it happened.
It only happens like once a month if not more. Any idea if it's just a heat related thing or?

Hmm, I'll just assume it's some hyperactive heat issue lol. Shower was hot as hell, it was hot in the factory I was working in yet I was pretty hyper. I'd rock as a doctor

Well no insurance, Doctors don't have a clue what the fuck their doing anyways. Oh your having trouble breathing? LETS GIVE YOU 17 PRESCRIPTIONS AND GTFO OF MY OFFICE!
That and it only happens once in a huge while so it's not worth wasting the money on.

Doctor's can tell what's wrong, they can do test's where they test your heart while you're under stress (running on a treadmill) in all likelyhood you are ok. You may never be able to be an olympic athlete, but for the standard person this stuff usually turns out ok.

Drive up to canada and use their health care system - i thought thats what americans did? (or at least, that's what the simpsons has taught me).
i'd personally see a doctor, could be anything from heat to a big issue with ya heart like a murmar.

It sounds like you have tachycardia. It means basically that your heart speeds up past 100 bpm while at rest. All people have specialized tissue spots on parts of their heart that are extreamly excitable. Some people are more sensitive then others and caffine or drugs will cause attacks. Stress will do it too. Some diseases like hyperthroidism.
Your blood flow actually slows down when your hearts beats too fast because it doesn't contract and pump all the way. You get shortness of breath, panic feeling, and the sweats.
If it happens you can lie down with your legs up to help the blood flow. There is also a massage of the veagle (sp?) nerve that you can do but that isn't recommened if you don't know what your are doing. You can dislodge a piece of fat/plaque and cause a stroke.
It can be a sign that something is wrong tho but you are young so the odds are in your favor. They will give you some simple blood tests and do an ECG on you. That is basically a picture of the electrical currents of what your heart is doing. Then they will stick a heart monitor to you for a couple of days. That will record a steady stream of data and they will capture what your heart is doing when it happens. Then they will give you a common perscription, prob a beta blocker.
@Horrordee
We don't do americans here. You have to show health card. If they are treating you and find your aren't canadian and have no coverage you pay a bill or they dump you at the border.

That is what I thought he meant too. I think some meds are still cheaper in canada than the states if you don't have coverage. |
alot of medicines are cheaper here because we have generic brands where as the states is all name brand shit.
The only name brand medicine my doc perscribes is a painkiller, because there is no generic version. But any medicine I get is always generic and a good 30 bucks cheaper. well, 20 to 30 bucks cheaper.
My doc perscribe Immovane one time to see if it works. Its a sleeping pill/sedative or something. Immovane (which is the brand name) cost like $40 bucks for 15 or something where as the generic version it was something like $21 bucks I think.

If you have heartburn a lot you could have GERD. GERD causes Palps in some people. Otherwise it could be anxiety (IE having a panic attack.) Do you worry about stuff more then your friends?
