As stated: "This tool provides automatic uninstallation of StarForce drivers and removes all StarForce registry keys from the system."
It's true, they're all removed... then, you try to run the game again and the Starforce drivers will be re-installed.

People have been having...issues, with Starforce being left on their system and causing major USB screwups, even after a game has been uninstalled. This is just Codemasters covering their ass, in case someone loses their portfolio while transferring from a USB hard drive or some such. What NEEDS to be done is having this kind of removal tool in the game uninstaller itself. Apparently the publishers, already having spent the money on the copy protection, don't want to pay the extra few cents per copy to integrate the uninstall tool into the main uninstaller.
Hell, most publishers don't even acknowledge that there is a problem, and you have to go through Starforce's convoluted tech support, in the vain hope that they'll send you the removal tool. There are some third-party mirrors, but not many...

Its nothing new. There was a StarForce3 removal tool on Gangland and another Dreamcatcher game that used StarForce.
It just wipes out the registry keys and removes the hidden dll's etc that are probbly placed in the Windows directory.
As said above, as soon as you run the game again, it installs fresh StarForce3 drivers.

Yea, the tool has been out since before CM released one. I personally never had any computer problems with SF installed on my computer. You can see if they are on your computer by going into the Device Manager and viewing hidden devices and they will show under the "Non Plug and Play Drivers". You can also find SF removal by just punching "sfclean.exe" into any search engine.

It's not really a crack, but rather a way to remove un-needed files after you are done with the game...
