I assume you want one to have neater cabling in your case. Benefits from any improved air-flow will be minimal in a water-cooled system.

PS - You definitely got the hardware bug. Very Happy

Na the reason is...well cable management (looks neat), and my case is not the biggest as you might know Wink. But the fan on my 800W Tagan is starting to make noises, I have to bang it really hard right in the middle of the fan bezel and it stops...sometimes!. Its really annoying as it keeps coming back. So I thought to look around for a new one, and why not just go all the way then Smile.
Actually found the SilverStone Strider 1KW (full modular) for 240 Euro. Did not order it yet...but considering

Anyone knows of a retailer in Germany for the Ultra X3 ?.

The only retailer seems to be http://www.misco.de (according to Ultra's website).

Very Happy Priceless. Maybe consider replacing -with huge precautions to avoid a lethal electric shock- the fan rather than the whole PSU? Laughing

have done this with numerous psu's to make them quieter, have even had em running off molex or the 3-pin connectors on the mb when 2-pin connectors have been encountered. Would be a shame to retire or demote such a nice psu.

Yea yea BUT I WANT SOMET NEW! Smile
Actually (this will sound like a bad excuse but) Some time this spring I will build up a new puter anyway, the idea is then that my son will get this case, mobo and gracard etc. So I will eventually need a 2nd PSU anyway. There it is Wink

I am only waiting for the Yorkfield/Wolfdale and the 9800 GTX etc.
