if tv/monitor or gfxcard does not originaly have dvi output there will be no difference

signal still will be analogue

then again if your tv has hdmi and your gfxcard dvi u can get this cable

here you see the "Game Mode" for games , the LCD now works in ultra sharp mode even for the most dynamic picture and the contrast/brightness looks stunning - have this one when i play games on consoles but works also for the PC games

Here are the "PC options" that are turned ON when you plug a PC with D-sub , well i am planing to plug my PC through HDMI - so now the question is will those options be enabled ?

On my sammy I can select game mode for any of my inputs (I think this is aimed at gaming consoles, so plugged in via HDMI or component), but yeah, that fine adjustment of picture position/size is something I can't do with the HDMI input -- sometimes there is an issue with overscan that prevents the entire desktop (not an issue using PC input) from appearing on screen so you may have to deal with that issue (nvidia and ati drivers have a fix, my tv has a 'no overscan' mode).

more on overscan here:
