So, if 2gb or bigger files can´t be run, I was thinking in splitting the VC1 releases, but I think my system can´t handle HD video encoding. What are my options? If there are any...

I thought you don't really need to reencode a movie to split it. Using VirtualDUB or so only creates a new file, but leaves the content the same.
