DS has wireless multiplayer at half of the cost for the hardware.
Only harcore gamers are willing to spend $300 or more dollars on a handheld.
Then there's the whole thing about battery life. Sony has given me the impression that if games stream content from the UMD regularly then battery life will be bad.
Even with that said I'm still looking forward to both DS and PSP.

There is no official price on it yet... Sony stated that at release they will price it to complete with the current market and will take a HUGE hit on it. Im guessing it will be for around $200 - $250, It deffinetly wont be $300+.

yeah gota agree with Mutantis, they got all the info from the big "N" in its hayday on how to produce a console then took that info and produced what should of been a nintendo+sony combination into a Sony own product aka psx.
If it wasn't for Nintendo they wouldn't be where they are now - its its good to see Microsoft giving them a run for their money

Looks great but I wonder how long the battery life is. Low battery life has killed alot of the portables that have tried to stand up to Nintendo.

I would rather have the PSP. The DS thing just looks dumb to me.

I was a hardcore Nintendo fan until N64. Although N64 had a lot of great games I didn't really like it as much as their other systems. And I was playing PSX much more than it.

What turned me of buying a n64 was the controller. It just didn't feel right for me.
Hardware: Ryzen 3700x, B450 MSI Gaming Pro carbon AC, GTX1080, 32 GB 3200 Mhz cas 14, 256 EVO SSD, 1 TB EVO SSD and 4 TB HDD.
Console: xbox, wii and xbox 360

I actually loved the N64 controller, was one of the best FPS controllers out there... GoldenEye felt so smooth.
