7950 gt not getting enough juice?

Lately at the startup of XP im getting a warning from the Nvidia control panel
about this,strange thing is my connectors r all hooked up and i have an Antec
True Power 550watt PS,plus Some Forceware give this error some dont and in vista
also i dont have this error ( dual-boot). All my games run just fine and smooth but
i just wanna make sure.Is there any way to be certain.Im using the 169.04 at the moment.

hmm if it's one of those cards that gives full power only when connected, and still works but not at full power if it's not connected to the PSU, then I suppose you could try disconnecting the power connector from the gpu, running some benchmark, and the reconnect it and run it again.

if the benchmarks are identical you know that something's wrong, if it's noticeably faster with the power connector plugged in then everything should be fine.

other than that I don't know an easy way unfortunately.
