After been playing Call of Ctulhu: Dark Corners of The Earth I found myself starving for more lovecraft based games with depths of horror, bizarre encounters & Insanity. So I was wondering if anyone on these boards can recommende some Lovecraft games?

My personal favorite lovecraft game (except dark corners) is Prisoner of ice, an amazing click'n'point adventure, and shadow of the comet, both games from infogrames if i'm not mistaken.

There's problaby more games, but can't think of any right now.

Only ancient ones(pardon the pun, hah)....Alone in the Dark....Eternal Darkness:Sanity's Requiem(for the gamecube)....

There has been lots of games with quick references to the mythos, mostly adventure and roleplaying games, but unfortunately for being such an intriguing and timeless source of material, few games have picked it up and created a whole game based on it. I know I was horribly dissapointed when the company behind DCotE got shut down and therefore any work on the sequels got trashed. A shame.

There was a game called "nocturne" ??

I think that's what you want, it had insane graphics in 2001 and it's basically lovecrove crap.

Burn them all Adolf

Couldn't agree with you more Smile It's so sad that the company behind Decote got shut down. It would have been one of the greatest things in gaming history if they had been able to continue making games like that. But if people don't mind playing some older games, then the first Alone in the dark, and Shadow of the Comet plus Prisoner of Ice is really worth playing. Also a first person adventure named Necronomicon: The Dawning of Darkness is pretty good.

Ps. Yes I do remember the escape from the hotel part in Dcote, That's terror for you Imho, and I love it Very Happy

Pps. After I played Dark Corners, I found out that the developers have actually adapted the Call of Cthulhu Pen & Paper Campaign Escape from Insmouth into the Dcote game, unofficialy as they don't say anything about it, but if you are a Gamemaster and want to put your friends through the Dcote game in Pen & Paper format then get that book. If it's not available in stores anymore then you can find it in pdf format on the Mule Wink

Clive Barker's Undying FFS!

It isn't direct, but one has to say, highly influenced by Cthulu mythos.

And it beeing the most underrated game, or rather worthy of the prize; GameSpot's "Best game that no one played" award doesn't make it less interesting.

Go play it already!

... but even worse, it releases satan.
