I mean, it is SOOOO annoying that people still do this!! Can't they rip DVD s or something?
Why pollute the band width with this crap!!

I wanna take my rKKTloancher and bl0\/\/ them all away.

BTW whats y'alls best method of ripping DVDs? Mine involves AutoGK, which is okay but takes a bit long like 4-5 hours

Xvids are great quality, Esp the 2 Cd ones with AC3, I dont have a 50" LCD so when I convert em to dvd & burn em they look great Smile But if you have a fast net not like this crappy 3 meg you would possibly dl the actual DVD-Rs as there more effecient Smile

Why in gods name would in this day and age anyone watch sd movie? Divx (xvid) rips are crap and mpeg2 (dvd) pic is crap.HD rip that has size of dvd 5 has like 100% more detailed pic then any dvd(divx, xvid). Watching movie with poor pic quality really destroys experience.

most of the 350mb tv shows have at least 1k kbps video so it's pretty watchable comparing to 700mb full length movies

dLding each episode at hd which u will erase anyway is pretty pointless

I know, that's why I dl 350mb shows...

But even with a high bitrate, 640x350 is so so small, and so many details are lost. Downloaded At World's End in two versions the other day, HD and 3cd xvid. Dear lord, the 3cd sucked blurry ballz!

I honestly cannot percieve a noticable difference in quality between a dvd and a hd-dvd. Could be due to my eyes, shitty equipment or idgaf.

This is just a rehash of the old mp3 vs flac argument in music formats. I think that it's really all in the head. I mean if the people know that they're watching hd-dvd then it's like 'omg, this is the bomb'. But if one was to carry out a blind test (not literally Razz but letting people watch the same film/scene in dvd and hd without telling them) then I think that very few people would be able to really tell the difference.

It's like those people who fall for every new marketing bs that the hardware manufacturers come up with. First it was 64-bits hardware/os without any perceivable improvement in performance simply because the software just wasn't optimalised for the hardware. Then there was quad-core while the most software is only now beginning to be optimised for multi-thread execution.

Build (and hype) it and they will come. Very Happy

right right, 1920x1080 versus 720x480, yeah all in my head. CHECK YOUR EYES

and i do notice a big difference between DTSHD(1.5mbps) and mere DD(480?kbps).

well i notice a difference between 720p and 480p and it's huge

all u need is at least 32" hd tv unless of course u still stuck with sd tv then even crappy avi loox half decent

however i couldn't care less if it's mp3 or flac, but mp3 must be at least 160 kbps

If you cant see the difference between this and some dvd or xvid then i think that you should check youre eyes.
