some times we play game and we fall in love with a specific mission so mutch , that we are willing to play this mission, over and over again.

i liked one mission in sniper elite, that mission when 3 vehicles (i think motorbikes) and i had to take the right position and to shoot at the right timing, loved that mission alot.

another one that i well remember is from the Splinter Cell DA, that one with the snepling and the fireworks in the backround..i loved that mission:)

call of duty 4 also gave few great missions, like the two snipers and the spy craft with the guided missiles.

what a days Smile

Well theres been a lot and it's hard to choose, but I really have to say the sniper mission in COD 4. It was just so well thought out and your partner getting his leg messed up and having to carry him, then at the end the fight for your lives.

The Lee Hong Assassination in Hitman Codename 47, mostly because there are so many ways to play it. Come to think of it that goes for most Hitman levels but this one stands out for me.

I remember I reall enjoyed a mission in the old MDK where you were snow skiing and blowing up stuff. From more recent times, COD4 sniper mission, a few of Mafia's missions, there are probably a lot more but I just can't remember right now.

Kane & Lynch, all scenes, except the carchase ones and havana+jungle.. I've never been able to make that much collateral damage in any game before, including GTA Very Happy

SoF2 - the first and second airport missions. Played them OVER and OVER again. All the other missions were crap compared to them.

CoD4 - Everything was good, but I liked the A-Bomb going of and the ship sinking! Homecinema at its best!

Crysis - the second mission was pretty cool Smile

Of the recent games, definitely CoD4, especially the flashback and nuclear explosion levels. Then from older ones, the very first Hitman level (at least I think it was) in the first game: Just get to the rooftop, snipe the target and walk away, no bullshit running away from enemies or w/e. Very simple by today's standards of course but that was a real thrill back in the day.

Also one quest in particular from Planescape: Torment: You meet this guy in some bar, he's desperate and wants to die and he agrees to pay you if you do it. So he puts the money on the table and closes his eyes. I just took the money and left, so evil Razz

In Just Cause, there's that mission where you have to pursue a guy to the top of a volcano in a car.
I remember that one particularly because that was probably one of my best videogaming moment ever

The game in itself isn't that great, and neither is that mission actually, but the 1st time I played it everything turned out perfect : it was night time, I could barely see where I was going, and I had to get through bullets and grenades for countless minuts, all while being a few meters behind the car I had to follow. And the road was in such a shape that I nearly fell down the mountain in every turn. I almost died a dozen times there, having to leave my car and get into another when it was about to explode.
I couldn't stop laughing when I finally managed to succeed Razz

Other than that I don't know, probably some missions in GTA and Dark Messiah

Some of the postal missions were absolutely funny. Going to church to confess your sins, waiting in a huge line. Suddenly terrorists storm the church and want to burn it down, all the priests take out shotguns and everybody starts shooting everyone, and you just have to get out safely grinhurt

And maybe some missions of Jedi Academy, later on when enemy Jedi are just looking so dang cool. Played that game a dozen times even though I never bought it Very Happy

I am sure there are more...

I gotta agree on CoD4 sniper mission.
The entire marine campaign in AvP2.
Some of the missions in Operation Flashpoint
Same goes for Armed Assault
Half-Life in general is fucking great too...

GOD there are so many great games I think it's impossible to nail them all, just like when trying to determine the 10 best games ever...

The mission in the original OFP where you get caught and have to stay the night in a russian base where you quickly flee and have to run from an entire squad of soldiers aswell as armored vehicles, the only navigation you have is the stars... That mission was just perfect and extremely immersive.

I fully agree. One of a few truly great gaming moments.
The last mission with the Resistance expansion was also really nice.

Another wich I'll always love is in Call of Cthulu: Dark corners of the earth. The first mission in Innsmouth where you have to flee not to get murdered in your sleep. Really brilliant, with your heart beating as fast as it could, the game was wonderful when you didn't have any weapons to defend yourself. Scary as hell, remeber bolting the doors and pushing cupboards in front of the doors as you fled.

Also Vietcong had some great moments and good storytelling. Still love that game.

Dunno if you can count it as it's not an "in-game mission", but the game itself, but The lost patrol on the Amiga was really friggin' neat when it came to atmosphere.

The second reactor mission in Final Fantasy VII, you expect it to be just like the intro mission except that Airbuster guy and Shinra President just walks in when you are almost complete, that came as a complete shocker to me first time i played the game 10 years ago, amazing game, still play it nowadays!

COD 4, snipermission was awesome indeed. As well as the A-bomb mission, was really cinematic saving the cobra-pilot and then boom.

Splinter Cell CT, the first mission with the lighthouse, felt like the first definite step into a whole new sort of grapic entertainment.
