It was a good game but ya, the expansions are getting out of hand. Seems more like a rush for money than anything but hey, at least their not making it a new version each time, expansions usually cost less.

Actually they've made 2 expansions for each HOMM game since the second (1 for the second and 0 for the first). And I wouldn't say that 2 is that high of a number compared to the 7 for sims 1 and 6 for sims 2 (they are making annother (sims 3 and a expansion more for 2)).

Ohh and since ign seames to imply its standalone I wouldnt say its that much cashing in (you won't have to pick up all of them just to play this one)...

i've played a bit, it's quite nice, especially the part where after upgrading a unit building you can choose what of the 2 types of upgraded unit to get (archangel or seraph, crusader or paladin, inquisitor or zealot...)

i guess i know, but just to ask- does someone knows if having the original heroes V and this one installed, can bring these unit upgrades and extras to the original H5 cuz that would be nice in the campgains that i've never finished anyway Smile

Good question, i only played like half of the campaigns in HoMM V and now when i saw this i was thinking that i would finnish it befor starting the exp Smile

Would be sweet to be abel to add the upgrade system to orginal V.

I didnt even know there was another exp befor this one Smile Lots of HoMM to play now then.

It's completely standalone, doesn't affect the original Homm5 installation at all.

I didn't finish the original Homm5 game because the Rangers campaign sucked and I stopped playing, and didn't bother with the previous expansion because you couldn't play with the new races. But this expansion is something else, the Orcs really kick ass and the campagins are a lot of fun to play. And very addictive as usual Smile

Started playing it recently and as a homm fanboy i found it extremely good.

@brisk : do u know what's inside the "gold bonus dvd" version ?
