Does this play well with Vista? My parents need an a/v and internet security so my mom doesn't end up loading their new computer with viruses or spyware ...

yes it does, when uninstalling KIS6 make sure you uninstall EVERYTHING. Download new one, use same key...enjoy. Alternatly when uninstalling you can choose to save certain information for the next install.

I installed 7 version. Really nice. Never used Kaspersky before. The key expires 01/2008 in the release. What is expiration date for you?

Resource hog, are you for real? When has KAV become a resource hog Question

There are 2 AVP.exe processes one about 23mb(service) and one about 4mb (GUI) about 30mb total for a complete internet security suite. The first full scan takes a little long but after that every thing is running mutch faste because of ichecker and iswift and scan new and change files only.

I have run almost every Security suite and i found KIS the best suite!

i dont say this often , but KAV is very well worth the money , on the site you can find a list of shops in your neighbourhood that sell retail version if you dont have a credit card.

they rely on every sale cause sadly 75% still use norton , for one cause its almost always delivered on new computers.....

A faulty signature update from Kaspersky Lab on Wednesday flagged up Windows Explorer (explorer.exe) as infected with a low-risk virus, Huhk-C. As a result the core Windows component was quarantined or worse.
