Since I have ordered Gears Of War, and I'm using Games For Windows, is there an easy way to change the product key (you know, the message you get when you try to sign in during the game ?) without reinstalling the game.
Google didn't get my anywhere so any help is appreciated.
my educated guess is no. You can try to reverse-engineer it though. Most are stored in the registry under the games settings, often even called "Key" or "ID", but encrypted. Chances are that it s easier to just reinstall. Or ask the support? If you have bought it, you could tell em, that you had a friends game installed to test it and want to change to your key now.
