Reading a game manual in PDF and adobe reader is crap. Doesn't even load the whole thing so if I scroll down just a bit my CPU jumps up to 50% and locks the program for a second for it load. Took me like 5 minutes to get to a page I wanted to read.

Damn program is a lagfest Sad

Foxit reader? The one that comes bundled with LastXP? Great one, much better than the Acrobat crap...

Using Foxit too here and love the fact that it's quite basic and not bloated shit like Acrobat. Although it does have some trouble with reading docs made with fancy formatting.

Why does all software have the same life-cycle?

v1. Basically good program with a few bugs.
v2. Bugs worked out and prog nearing its optimal form.
v3. Some new features added (but not really necessary) but prog is still quite compact.
v4. The program is enormously popular (and profitable) but someone thinks that it can be improved even further. A bunch of useless shit gets added to it hoping to make a program that can do all things equally well. Program has successfully made the transition from software to shitware. Sad

Seen it happen to so many progs like Winamp, Nero, etc.
