Nvidia's nForce 790i, or C73 to be more precise, has finally been pictured. We are talking about Nvidia's new chipset for Intel's upcoming 45nm CPU's with support for DDR3.

As you can see from the picture board will support three PCIe x16 slots, two plain PCI slots and two PCIe x1 slots. Those three green slots are screaming for "triple-SLI". This new C73 chipset will add support for DDR3 and 1,600MHz FSB.

Yea..that is true...WTF! did not think about that at 1st, was to exited. Oh well, I am gonna get me the EVGA version 100%...as soon as its out!

Holy crap thats a sexy board. Makes me glad I held out on getting a P35/X38 board...so many choices comin soon...mwahah.

Just hopefully they are coming out with ddr2 or combo ddr2/3 boards....No way am I switching to ddr3 in early 08 with current pricing and timings.

AFAIK the 780I will be DDR2 and this one will be DDR3. The 780i should be out in December.

EDIT: Besides who cares about DDR2/3 when we have 5

Lmfao this board is shit. Its 680i chipset with added PCI Express 2 support. Wow what a great way to throw money in the wind. Guess fanboys never learn...........
