Alright, so I have a clean install of Windows XP SP1, I pop in an ethernet cable but windows won't recognize it. You know how it always has that popup that says "Local Area Connection Found bla bla 10/100 mbits...". Well, its not popping up.

I look at the back of the computer and the little light in the ethernet port is orange instead of green Crying or Very sad

I have no idea why it won't go green and get recognized. I feel like I'm missing something simple, but fuck me if I can figure it out Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

So, if anyone has any suggestions, be much appreciated.

Ok, turns out that the drivers for the 680i weren't present in WinXP, so no ethernet adapter was recognized. I used the CD included by the fuckers, and it works fine now. Only problem is GFX drivers wouldn't install for my 8800 GTX, so I'm dling the newest off of the NVIDIA website right now. Just pray that they work Neutral

ya a lot of newer MB's drivers aren't present with XP. MY A8N-SLI board has to be installed off the disk too, which sucks cause if I lost it i'll have to use a nother computer to aquire me the drivers.
