this picture might be old. I just found it now for the first time but it could be false and really old

I think that picture says it all. The 512mb ati HD 2900XT which is actually slower than a 8800GTS in most games clearly beats a 150-200$ more expensive 8800GTX in crysis.

What does this mean? Who knows! Maybe ATI got lucky and can strike back at nvidia now.

For us it seems to mean great crysis performance with a 2900XT for only 350€!

Enjoy your card that brings you 3-5 more fps in one game, while fails on all other.

meh, big deal... the higher spec you go, the less difference their is... at MOST its 10 fps... and in every other game, the ati card is going to get whupped, so i cant see this as a big deal.

if ati consistantly outperformed over a wide range of games, then yeah, but 2-5 fps in one game, and we dont even know what drivers that gtx was using (the 169 drivers gave me a 7fps boost)... meh...

yeah. seems to be old and false. sorry about that.

some lame website posted that picture with an article TODAY so I thought it was brand new crysis demo benchmarks as the demo was released today.

Probably a rigged benchmark. Anyone remember the "Doom 3 would be quite playable on a GF3 but would need a GF4TI to shine" benchmarks? Laughing It shined aight, but from stupid bump-maps at @ 3fps on my old GF4 TI4200.

hehehe

I played the leaked doom 3 beta back then on my geforce 3. it ran like shit but oh god it looked absolutely breathtaking.

wasn't that impressive anymore when it finally came out like 2 years later, but back then it was just incredible, even more so than crysis is now maybe.

but anyway... we should see some real benchmarks of crysis really soon. can't wait to see how all the cards are doing, and especially the 8800 GT.

Let the fanboy fight begin. Well, I don't care if I have an ATi or Nvidia, had both. Just seem like dx10 is kinda unstabile? (vista in general maybe Razz )
