i bet it'll be another typical generic piece of shit to cash in on a franchise... studios never treat gaming as anything more than an advertising medium, which is just freakin retarded.

yeah unfortunately this is more like a minigame shoot'em'up that you find on the net for 10$, not a real fully featured space combat simulation in the galactica universe.

i dunno... you called this remake the best tv show ever... i doubt your standards are all that high to begin with, so this game should be just perfect for you.

why does this look like a freespace mod?
eve online has been around for ages and STILL cockslaps every single new space shooter
there's almost nothing to render in space - is it that hard to make pretty?

yes.
better textures, models and effects require more time. more time requires more money.
if they don't want to put a lot of money into this then obviously it just won't look as good as it could if it had a huge budget.
and as it was mentioned above this is just some small xbox live arcade game that's beeing ported to the PC so this sure as hell didn't have a big budget.

You funny man. Have you played a game called X2, or X3? Blows eve and any other space-game out of the sky visually. Too bad about the lack of proper physics though.

just as long as you realise descent freespace 2 beats all space games hands down. it may not have some fancy ass economy system or whatever other bullshit, but for scope and epic nature, that game was the shit.

No, not barely. By a mile. You need new glasses.
And it doesn't require a supercomputer.

Are you kidding, or are you actually that dumb?
It's a casual games compilation, and for people who enjoy those games and are willing to buy them, it's a good deal. To buy the identical PC versions of all 4 of the games in that compilation would cost $80. The filesize of the games is irrelevant (or are you one of those morons who believes that size and quality of gameplay are always directly proportional?). It's a nice deal for fans of casual games such as those.
So, is it the console gaming world that's stupid for getting the games at a 75% discount, or the PC gaming world, where they pay $20 for each? Hmmmmmmm....

First...i dont know one person who actually paid for them,
Second...theres hundres of ripoff of those games nearly the same for FREE
Third...Buying a retail game for 100mb of games is retarded. Unless they end up on the marketplace for 120points.
This was like those console assholes all proud to get games like Killer Instinct or Castlevania on Live Arcade...and payed for them when you can get Roms and emulator who will do exactly the same for FREE
A good deal would have been a retail game with atleast 10 of those popcaps games

I watched the video on the official sight....
Can anyone tell me if all you do is fly around as that tiny,,,, VERY tiny 3rd person view?
Is there any 1st or hopefully cockpit view?
I frakkin love Galactica since the original and am lovin the plot driven (not the stand alone shit they tried a little bit ago) reimagining ( I know cliche, but it works here) my fav part is that they don't recap everything that has happened before. If you don't know WTF is going on you are toast. It's a smart watcher thing. Not always great for ratings but it's great if you are truly a fan.
