Ok, so this is what i've found these days browsing around..not much info, but still is something i guess (i hope to make a big shiny template when all clears up  ):

A for the games there are quite a bit of rumors about the gameplay. Some say that will be a MMO, other that will be a vs. game- (like the good old street fighter vs. cacpom, marvel vs. capcom and so) and will be against DC characters O.o - nothing more than rumors i guess/hope
So basically it's steel unclear if it will be for us to play as well, but will wait and see..

pc helped make mk what it became... it had a massive loyal fanbase including myself... then those midway cunts went console only, a complete fucking betrayal...
it'd be good to see it on pc again, but theyve lost me as a loyal fan and ill definately not buy any mk games ever again, those bastards.

no i mean in general... boon abandoned us just after mk4... well you could say that he abandoned us before mk4, because mk4 was a really crappy port... ive just always felt this way because i was a huge mortal kombat fan, and felt royally fucked over when pc gamers got abandoned, given how much support we gave the games...

And what is Midway's problem in porting MK8 anyway? It uses UE3, so it would be just like Stranglehold. Give me an MK8 port similar to Stranglehold and I'll be happy!

It just won't sell. There'll be a thousand of you wanting MK8 for PC. And porting + testing will cost much more.

perhaps boon isnt the main reason, but that doesnt change the fact that boon is, in fact, a bitch.
and id rather have NO mk8 port, than an mk8 port with the same standards and care as stranglehold had... blech... fun but visually ugly game with no effort from the people that ported it... im pretty sure i saw 'screen' listed as 'tv' in the fucking settings ffs!!

the coolest thing about MK were the fatality's, learning all the codes from head, and standing on the right position to make it work, frustrating is was sometimes but rewarding...

Why? 3 was great as well. Sure, the kombos and babality/beastiality/etc was stupic but the game itself was great. Plus, that was the strongest incarnation of Sub Zero in all MKs. They had practically made him invincible to the trained player.
