Ok so I installed the drivers for my card and it sounds like shit, music sounds like shit, games sound like shit. Sounds like a 40 year old sound card. I can't even figure out how to get rid of vista's shitty sound management and use creatives instead. I tried my install disk but apparently my sound card cannot be found with the disk.

With creative drivers, the Vista addons are disabled automatically.

You need the ALchemy program to make EAX effects work in vista, try Creative ALchemy Universal.

Anyone with an Audigy running in vista needs to go to this website, like yesterday, and download and install the free cd the awesome dude compiled, basically doing Creative's job for them making their soundcard "work" with the new OS.

It's funny, even my friend who has an xfi card and the alchemy thing just can't seem to get EAX options working like I have had no problem with since dl'ing this *essential* set of drivers. BTW, I recommend dl'ing the cd full of apps and then the newest driver release as well.
