I have purchased an XBOX 360 which has iXtreme firmware, i do NOT connect to the internet and do not want to with it. When i insert Warriors Orochi i am told

"an update must be applied before this game will work, install?"

if i select NO i am booted to dashboard. Bear in mind i am NOT connected to live so this update is on the disk!

If i select YES will it overwrite my custom firmware and mean i cant play backups? Thanks for help.

It will not overwrite the firmware. The update will update the xbox dashboard and nothing else.

The firmware is on the DVD-drive.. The dashboard is stored on some onboard flash. All the firmware for the DVD does is reading and reporting about the inserted disc so unless you have some hack for your x360 that noone ever heard about, everyone wants I'd say you will be ok...
