at first look it seems creepy, but how could someone know the exact number of born or deceased on the whole planet? Sounds fishy to me...

It's not exact, probably based on those stats "Every second a person dies of hunger", "Every second a person dies of lung cancer", "Every second a person if infected with HIV" and so on

there is nothing wrong with those stats. just take the total number of cases globally and divide by the number of seconds in the years ... then just assume a linear increase and tell your clock how many to increase every second.

I wasn't paying attention to the text, just looked at the numbers, which looked too accurate to be true... I get it that those are just an estimates. Still kinda creepy...
