Being an indie music fan, cdbaby is one of my favourite sites for buying music. Now, they recently added a digital distibution of albums as well, meaning you can download the albums in mp3 format instead of waiting for the cd to be delivered. In the info page they say this about the method they made mp3s:
"You're buying each album as a zip file with a folder of all MP3 audio, a big JPG of the album cover, and a text file with the liner notes.
The MP3 audio files are very high quality, about 200kbps VBR, encoded using the “LAME” MP3 encoder on its audiophile settings. Your MP3s will play on any hardware."
Now, my question is: what do they mean with "encoded using the “LAME” MP3 encoder on its audiophile settings" ?? Which command line do you think it's used to rip the cds?
