Little problem buring Stranglehold demo. According to the read-me it should be burnt as UDF on a Dvd-r. I've tried this 3 times at different speeds without success. The disc is read as a 'Mixed Media Disc' on the dash and although the Strangehold demo icon appears in my demos it won't launch. Has anyone managed to burn and play this successfully?

Drive: Hitaci
Firmware: Not sure. Whatever latest was in April
Nero 7.????

This won't help much, but I've got the same problem, the icon appears, but nothing happens when I try to start it. Other demos have worked ok.
Similar specs: Hitachi with newish FW and nero 6.

I didn't know that you can download demos without Live now. That's awesome!! Even without the bans I wouldn't be able to get demos because I don't have a HDD but now I can play some of them. Ha ha! Very Happy
I just downloaded the Stranglehold, Stuntman and Moto GP 07 demos. Too bad the Stranglehold demo doesn't work. Crying or Very sad

Does your firmware support single layer DVD's?

No idea! But someone said its because of the update that was released on 7th August and the fact that I dont have it.

I don't think so. The update only added support for a wireless guitar controller. The Stranglehold demo is probably locked to the console it was downloaded with. The firmware doesn't need to support single layer games afaik. The demos should work even on unmodified consoles.

There's also a Bioshock demo now.

You mean a bioshock demo is available outside marketplace, so available for banned users to?
